A journal, never a catalogue

Palais Assi Collection does not sell an accumulation of activities. Before arrival, we discuss your energy, schedule, interests and budget. We then suggest a clear itinerary with breathing space, the right driver and, when it genuinely adds value, a private guide.

01

Selection

Each address is chosen for a precise reason: cuisine, setting, culture, landscape or quality of welcome.

02

Orchestration

Transfers, timings, reservations and special requests are coordinated through one point of contact.

03

Every external service is confirmed with its price and terms before booking.

Eight ways to feel Marrakech differently

Distinctive experiences arranged privately where the offer allows, always subject to availability, weather and operator conditions.

01Sunrise · approximately 4½ hours

The sky with Ciel d’Afrique

A pre-dawn departure, a 40-to-60-minute balloon flight when conditions allow, then return to Marrakech. As this is weather-dependent, we recommend booking it early in the stay to preserve a possible second date.

Independent operator · flight subject to weatherView the official programme
02Agafay · half-day or evening

The stone desert, privately

Quad bike or buggy with Dunes & Désert, an Atlas-facing pause and sunset dinner when included in the selected programme. Agafay is a mineral desert, not the Sahara; its elegance lies in its relief and proximity to Marrakech.

Flexible activities · conditions confirmed before departureView the operator
03Marrakech · 90 minutes or bespoke

The city by vintage sidecar

A livelier reading of Guéliz, the Palmeraie and less expected neighbourhoods with Marrakech Insiders. The route is adapted to available time and the travellers’ profile.

Independent operator · helmet and safety briefing requiredDiscover the experience
04Medina · private half-day

Marrakech behind closed doors

A licensed guide connects major landmarks — Ben Youssef Madrasa, palaces and souks — with fondouks, artisans and details easily missed. The route follows your interests, with no imposed shopping stops.

Admissions and guide charged separatelyView the official tourism portal
05Art, garden and couture

Majorelle, Berber arts and Yves Saint Laurent

A timed morning at Jardin Majorelle, the Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts and Musée Yves Saint Laurent. Official tickets should be purchased in advance; the YSL museum is generally closed on Wednesdays.

Official ticketing only · opening times recheckedVisit the official website
06High Atlas · private day

Lunch with a host family in an Amazigh village

A gentle walk or village encounter leads to a meal prepared by a host family from local produce. The guide makes conversation easier and the pace remains respectful of village life, without staging it as folklore.

Village, host family, menu and conditions confirmed before departureView Atlas experiences
07Villa Assi Prestige · on request

Your private rooftop table

A late lunch, Moroccan dinner or intimate celebration served at the villa, with a pre-agreed menu, table setting and service adapted to the party. Chef, drinks and staff are quoted separately.

After menu and dietary requirements are approvedImagine this dinner
08Royal Mansour · lunch & afternoon

A day at Le Jardin

An open-air lunch at Le Jardin, where Mediterranean and Asian influences meet, followed by an afternoon beside the Royal Mansour pool. The concierge requests the appropriate Pool Day format — lounger or private pavilion according to party size — and coordinates return transport.

Advance reservation · day-guest pool access subject to availability and the property’s conditionsDiscover Le Jardin & the pool

What Marrakech leaves in your hands

A fragrance composed, a recipe passed on, a new perspective on African art or family images that feel nothing like holiday snapshots. These experiences are selected for the trace they leave, not to fill an itinerary.

01African art · guided visit

Marrakech through its artists

A visit to MACAAL and its sculpture park may be extended, when the calendar allows, with an appointment at Fondation Montresso. Driver, mediation and timing are composed around the exhibitions on view.

Visits and calendar rechecked before bookingDiscover MACAAL
02Medina · olfactory creation

Compose your own fragrance

At the Perfume Museum, Moroccan essences become personal material. The visit may be followed by a composition workshop, leaving with a fragrance created in Marrakech.

Workshop by reservation · duration and format confirmedAsk the concierge
03Cooking · pastry · 2 hours

Learn a chef’s gesture

Moroccan cooking, Italian cooking or pastry: the concierge can request a workshop at the Royal Mansour Cooking School and place it within a day that still has room to breathe.

Independent property · programme subject to availabilityView official workshops
04Gastronomy · private experience

A table beyond the restaurant

A Chef’s Table, a bucolic setting or a more confidential dining room: selected grand houses serve meals in reserved spaces. We identify the right format for the occasion and request the booking.

Menu, access and terms confirmed by the propertyDiscover private tables
05Family · age-appropriate pace

Marrakech at a child’s height

A cooking workshop, a garden, a short medina discovery and genuine time to rest create a day shaped around the children’s ages — rather than imposing an adult itinerary upon them.

Activities selected according to age and seasonView the culinary museum
06Villa & medina · bespoke

Your Marrakech album

A photographer can join the family at the villa, on the rooftop or along a chosen medina route. Style, duration, permissions and the number of delivered images are agreed before the session.

Palais Assi Collection

Days worth leaving for

We do not recommend every excursion to every guest. Season, heat, road time, physical ability and travellers’ ages determine the right choice.

01High Atlas · private day

Imlil & Asni

Villages, agricultural terraces and flexible walking at the gateway to Toubkal National Park. The right format combines a private driver, local guide and a reserved valley lunch without turning the day into a race to the summit.

Ideal for · landscapes, walking, Amazigh culture
02Ourika Valley · gentle day

Ourika & ANIMA Garden

A balanced combination of valley scenery, lunch with a view and a walk through ANIMA’s three hectares of art and nature created by André Heller. Setti Fatma can be added when crowds, weather and walking ability allow.

Ideal for · gardens, art, families, a first Atlas day
03Azilal · long day

Ouzoud Waterfalls

A roughly 100-metre waterfall amid olive groves and gorges. Wild Barbary macaques may be seen but their presence is never promised: Palais Assi excludes feeding, touching and photographs with handled animals.

Good to know · long drive, walking and many steps
04High Atlas · seasonal

Oukaïmeden & high mountains

A more mineral, cooler alternative for hiking, panoramas and, only when actual snow conditions allow, winter activities. The programme must be confirmed close to the date.

Ideal for · altitude, hiking, open spaces
05Atlantic · day or overnight

Essaouira, former Mogador

Ramparts, harbour, galleries, woodcraft and a fish lunch shape a first visit. To enjoy the evening and morning light without six hours on the road in one day, we often recommend staying overnight.

Ideal for · sea, art, fish, a slower pace

3 days · 2 nights minimum

A night beneath the Sahara stars

From Marrakech, three days and two nights are the realistic minimum: one overnight stop en route, followed by a night under canvas at a selected camp beside the Erg Chebbi dunes. For a more unhurried journey, we recommend four days and three nights.

Fifteen addresses, fifteen different reasons

This is not a universal ranking. The right table depends on the occasion: a first Moroccan dinner, contemporary cuisine, palace surroundings, rooftop lunch or a lively evening. The concierge recommends and requests the booking; no table is guaranteed before the restaurant confirms it.

01
Moroccan fine dining

La Grande Table Marocaine

The Royal Mansour’s palace dinner for a gastronomic reading of Moroccan tradition.

02
Medina institution

Dar Yacout

A historic residence and Moroccan dinner conceived as a complete sequence, open in the evenings outside its weekly closing day.

03
Celebrated chef · medina

Dar Moha — Chef Moha

In an eighteenth-century riad in Dar El Bacha, Chef Moha reinterprets Moroccan classics, balancing tradition with contemporary creativity.

04
Contemporary Moroccan

Sahbi Sahbi

A female-led kitchen, a central wood-fired oven and Moroccan recipes in a Studio KO interior.

05
Classic Moroccan à la carte

Al Fassia

A family reference run and served by women, with two different atmospheres in Guéliz and Aguedal.

06
Contemporary bistro

+61

Local produce, seasonality and direct, uncomplicated plates at an intentionally relaxed Guéliz address.

07
Design & evening

Pétanque Social Club

A former club reinvented around a garden, several salons, a bar and contemporary cooking.

08
Medina rooftop

NOMAD

Modern Moroccan cooking and rooftop views over Rahba Kedima; terrace tables can be reserved for lunch or dinner.

09
Rooftop & sunset

El Fenn

A colourful address minutes from Jemaa el-Fna, chosen as much for its atmosphere as for a drink or rooftop meal.

10
Italy at Royal Mansour

Sesamo

The Alajmo brothers’ Italian cuisine in Venetian surroundings, for a grand dinner outside the Moroccan register.

11
Italy at La Mamounia

L’Italien by Simone Zanoni

A palace trattoria for lunch or dinner, with a seasonal calendar to verify before booking.

12
Italian garden in Guéliz

La Trattoria

A longstanding Italian address in Marrakech, selected for its inner garden, pool and an atmosphere that feels more romantic than demonstrative.

13
Contemporary Cantonese & music

Ling Ling

Cantonese sharing plates, cocktails and a terrace at Mandarin Oriental, in an atmosphere that becomes more musical as the evening unfolds.

14
Dinner show

Comptoir Darna

Chosen for the evening’s energy, orchestra, dancers and transition into the club — not as a substitute for a gastronomic table.

15
Rooftop & Japanese cuisine

Nobu Marrakech

Nobu Restaurant, lounge and panoramic rooftop for a more international, urban evening.

The journey is part of the experience

02

Driver at disposal

Saloon, SUV or van according to the party, for half a day, a full day or the entire stay.
